The institution of marriage is not under attack as a result of the President’s words. Marriage was under attack years ago by men who viewed women as property and children as trophies of sexual prowess. Marriage is under attack by low wages, high incarceration, unfair tax policy, unemployment, and lack of education. Marriage is under attack by clergy who proclaim monogamy yet think nothing of stepping outside the bonds of marriage to have multiple affairs with “preaching groupies.

{Genesis 2} 20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. 21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; 22 And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. 23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. 24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
If God created Eve for Adam in order for her to be a “help meet”, why do women walk around like they NEED a man?
Clearly, Adam needed some help to dominate the land. Clearly, God created a creature similar to Adam, but one who carried her own characteristics (physically and mentally) that would balance with man’s in order to rule the land God had given them.
Ladies, please understand your worth! You don’t need a man! Please understand that if you were meant to be thrown around, mistreated, abused, annihilated, and neglected, God would not have created you.
You deserve better.
